What we do
Counselling

At the Healthcare Workers’ Foundation, our priority has always been to support the mental health of those who work in healthcare settings.

At the Healthcare Workers’ Foundation, our priority has always been to support the mental health of those who work in healthcare settings. This is why we offer free, easy to access, therapy sessions with fully qualified and experienced therapists.

If you work in any healthcare setting such as a hospital, nursing home, dental practice or GP surgery, you are eligible to access our counselling services. You do not have to be employed by the NHS. We can provide up to six sessions, if this is necessary.

Due to overwhelming demand and limited funding, we are unable to take any new applications for counselling at present. We hope to re-open this service at some point.

“Counselling really saved me. I cannot even think of where I would be now if it had not been for my counselling.”

Applying for counselling

Due to overwhelming demand and limited funding, we are unable to take any new applications for counselling at present. We hope to re-open this service at some point.

There is no charge and we provide a fast, discreet and accessible service. Just complete the application form to apply. Please note, we do not finance/fund clinical supervision sessions for existing counsellors or those undertaking counselling training.

Once you have submitted your application, you will receive a confirmation email from our team. We will then let you know if we require any further information or evidence to proceed. Following this, a member of our team will be in touch to notify you of the outcome of your application.
